Locks of Love

I was touring around blogland today & came across this amazing young women ~
She has given her gorgeous hair to 'Locks of Love' for young cancer patients 3 times now! WOW , that is awesome!
Reading this reminded me of my youngest daughter,Sarah ~ Since the age of 9 she has talked about donating her long hair to young cancer patients ~ at the age of 12 on her March break she did it! With the support of a great friend, Jenny, we headed to the Hair salon & off it came ~ this was 3 years ago now... Her hair is long again, althoug she would like to donate again, she is a teen & likes that layered look (no conducive to making wigs) so for now, she can be a teen.

Before her hair was cut ~ March 2006
During the Cutting Process ~ She had a really good friend there for support!
After
This was after Christmas 2008 ~ see how fast it grows ~ I'll put an updated photo here once I get them on my computer...

Hugs for now!

Happy New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

We ushered out the old & brought in the New year ~ Camping! Yes you read it right! ~In Ontario Canada ~ in negative degree weather ~ DH & I took out the motorhome & went to my brothers for the evening & slept over! It was bitter cold but DH made sure the furnace was running well & kept us all toasty warm the entire time!

This past year was awesome & I am looking forward to another great year! I spent time with the people I love the most, traveled to great places with family & friends and my first full year in my new career was successful! What can I say ~ I have been blessed!

I am looking forward to another great year! We have made plans for a few getaways ~ Some business planning is under way and with 'Miss Ontario' attending several events we will be traveling a little more than in past years! It will be a blast!

Hoping you & yours have a blessed New Year ~ God Bless you!
